Elizabeth Atterbury & Anna Hepler have been working together since 2016 and bring a hands-on command of ceramic tile fabrication and a substantial track record of large-scale public art commissions in mosaic. As full time professional artists, they share a curiosity about how ideas can shift in form and scale, in relationship to architecture and community, between two and three dimensions, and across materials, while retaining their meaning and coherence. 

As collaborators across five architectural installations, Anna & Elizabeth have refined a fabrication process designed specifically to produce remarkable, large-scale mosaics using tiles fabricated in their own kilns, with their own glazes, all made by hand. They maintain high standards of craftsmanship, open communication, scrupulous documentation, and on-site safety while producing public art of quiet, contemplative splendor. A shared work ethic informs their ongoing collaboration.
